My Letter to Inc. Magazine

First, here is Inc. Magazine's latest cover story about an internet millionaire who works one hour a day and makes $10 million a year: http://www.inc.com/magazine/20090101/and-the-money-comes-rolling-in.html

And here's a letter I wrote to Inc. yesterday:

I found your cover story on internet millionaire Markus Frind a bit irresponsible. Frind often works less than 10 hours a week and doesn't know what to do with his free time...c'mon, what purpose does a story like that serve your hard working entrepreneurial readers who are "getting there" via the more traditional route - slowly but surely?

Don't get me wrong - I admire Frind's accomplishments, and believe that what he has achieved is extraordinary, but especially in these tough times, why not instead glorify those who have built a solid business over years of hard work? I think it would send a much better message than the one conveyed by the internet millionaire fairytale we've gotten so used to reading about.

Online Appointment Setting for Medical Websites

We have recently created an a great add-on program for any medical practice website which allows patients to make appointments online. Patients can create a user account with a unique username and passcode, and view a calendar with open and blocked appointments. If a specific time is available, it allows the user to click on it and book the time. If it is taken, then that time slot is marked "booked." When an appointment is booked, the patient receives a confirmation via e-mail.

The doctor can also log into the admin section to view all appointments, and can block certain times or entire days. If an appointment must be rescheduled, the doctor or staff can reschedule an appointment and the patient is automatically notified via e-mail. This entire system follows HIPPA guidelines and is an excellent feature to add to an existing website, or can be integrated into a newly designed site.

This is great for many medical professions, including general care physicians, specialists, Chiropractors, Dentists and any other medical practices.
