Ft. Lauderdale Search Engine Ranking Company

Do you have a website, but would like to get it on the front page of Google or Yahoo? How about in the top 5 results? Watt Media is a Coral Springs (Ft. Lauderdale area) web company that can improve your rankings in the search engines. We have proven results and have helped many businesses achieve the results they were looking for, often times exceeding their expectations.

There are several things we do to increase a website's rankings: optimizing the content (text) of the site, which includes editing and adding text and links, editing the site's title and meta tags - which is code that the search engines pick up on, and also getting links on other websites that point to the website we're achieving results for. We will devise a strategy that will result in improved rankings over several weeks. In many cases, this foundational work is enough. In some cases, more work is needed, in which case we devise a 6 or 12 months strategy with our client.

One key thing to keep in mind - rankings improve over time, and results can never be immediate. Done properly, however, the site we're working for will achieve high rankings for many different key words.

Twitter Quick Tip

Twitter makes it easy to find contacts by linkng to your Google, Yahoo, or AOL accounts. But what if you don't use any of those e-mail services? Here's a workaround - You will need to create a Google account or already have one. Export your contacts from Outlook, then import them into Google, and then you can have Twitter search through your Google account, which will now contain all of your contacts!

Twitter, Here I Come!

I finally caved in and joined Twitter. I figured it was important for me to familiarize myself with it for work purposes, and as a little experiment to see how it goes and whether there's any value there.

I will report on the results in several weeks!

Facebook - Good for Business?

I use Facebook, and like it. I have even gotten business out of it. But I don't like when people shamelessly plug their business in the guise of a "regular" status update. One of my friends updated his status with this recently: "I'm busy at work, helping people get great deals on auto insurance." I thought that was pretty cheesy. Others are more direct, like someone I know who works for a local newspaper - "We're having great deals this week on advertising, so call me if you want to work with the best paper in town!" Puhlease.

For me, Facebook is about socializing with friends, so don't bug me with your solicitations. So how did I get business out of it? The same way I have gotten business at my kid's soccer games - sort of by accident - but not really. Through natural socializing. Reconnecting with old freinds always leads to, "So what are you doing these days?" And on at least one occasion, my old friend was in need of the service my company provides.

Now, I'm sure those who shamelessly self-promote get business out of Facebook and other social networking sites, but in my opinion, they turn lots of people off along the way. So for me, I say treat others the way you want to be treated - don't solicit! Have fun, keep it about socializing, and the business will come.

Lease Our Digital Player

Watt Media is now offering another option when it comes to getting a digital player for your telephone on-hold recordings. Typically, our clients purchase the digital player for $489, and we are now offering the option of leasing it instead. This can be a great option for those companies looking to make less of an investment upfront, but still get all the benefits of these great units.

Our lease option is pretty attractive because it’s a lease-to-buy for 12 months – so rather than the typical 3-year lease, where you end up paying 3 or 4 times the cost of the player, this is a much shorter 12-month lease, and you don’t end up paying that much more than the cost. Plus, after the 12th payment, you automatically own the unit.

Our digital players are USB units, which are the latest technology and extremely easy to use. They come with a USB “thumb” drive, and you simply load the recording (which we e-mail to you) onto the drive, insert it into the player, and you’re done!

Call Watt Media for more information about our digital players and our lease option at 1-800-250-8233.

Creative Ideas for Our Economy

Think twice about that yellow page ad. More and more businesses are abandoning traditional advertising in favor of less expensive but effective internet advertising and investing in their websites. This is the time to enhance your website, invest in Search Engine Optimization, and join social networking sites like Facebook.

Back to basics. Now’s the time for guerilla marketing – do the things that you know work, but maybe don’t like to do. Cold calls work but no one likes to make them – now’s the time to suck it up and get on the phone.

Call your current customers. Go through your customer list and touch base with them – it never hurts to reach out to your customer base – they’ll be happy to hear from you. Ask them if there’s anyone they know who could use your service, and remind them of any other products or services you offer. You might be surprised to see how effective these calls can be in getting new business. Your clients are your best source of referrals since they’re already fans of yours.

Network. Join the local chamber and show up to meetings. (If you’re already a member but haven’t attended in a while – now’s the time!) Get to know people; get the word out about your company.

Do you have an on-hold messaging system? If so, now more than ever is the time to utilize it to its full potential. Promote new services and product offerings. Be creative; offer specials. Change up the message so people pay attention – you’ll be amazed at how effective this marketing tool can be if used properly!

Send out simple postcards promoting a special discount. Send out at least 1000 postcards – you don’t need to spend tons on full color - blank ink on yellow postcards stick out and don’t cost a lot.

Remember, people are still doing business, they’re just being more careful and looking for good deals – so if you can be creative in how you reach out to them, you can profit in this economy.
